The second step after genetic matching - Our Medical Completion program added before placement.

Medically complete pup around 11 weeks old without training is $4995.00

Halter health reports of both parents avaliable upon request.

                    Additional funds toward the balance on our youngest medically finished pup will be due. The next payment will be determined by the cost of training program requested. Since the training levels vary, so will the payment. Note also, the more advanced training services the longer between payments due.

 Introduction to our pre-placement medical programs.

To assure that you and your Hoytt Dobe have the best chance of excellent health well into adulthood we will have taken care of all primary inoculations, secondary medical services and the pup's surgical requirements. Down to no visible tail stitch scars preferring each Hoytt looks like it was also born with the correct short tail. And of course, dew claws have been removed without any damage to ligaments.

Due to its complexity. The process that we follow is most impressive and quite valuable. However, before the pair chosen are mated each has been seen by their respective veterinarians and all have had the 24-hour Holter Heart Monitor evaluation. Plus, during their pregnancy, they will automatically receive as an added safety parasite preventatives and at midpoint a change in their diet. A week or more before whelp each soon to be mom will arrive here and begin to settle back into life with us at Camp Hoytt since this was their old home place. Those who visit and all those who attend DobeFest will tell you all the Hoytt Dobes think of me as their other dad and of course staff here during their development also are remembered as family.

1...two weeks of age Strongid wormer

2...three weeks of age parasite check 

3...four weeks of age Panacur wormer this is a three day program. Again go to internet to learn the many more advantages of this precautionary treatment.

Note this is a very mild treatment 

4...six weeks of age Panacur wormer over three days

5...eight weeks of age BronchiShield Oral Canine Bordetella + Stongid wormer

6...nine weeks of age Duramune Max 5-CvK

7...ten weeks of age Panacur wormer over three days

8…ear crop (coagulation test before surgery) using Quick Brace until stance is gained - no wrapping of the ears.

 Our pups do not need to go home wearing a CONE or TUBE after crop because of the QB design...most of our Dobes are cropped unless client requested natural ears. Note after placement the Hoytt's will furnish the Hoytt Dobe's owner as many brace kits as needed at no charge. Average age when our Hoytt Dobes gain full and correct position, between 6 & 9 months. Note for owners of non-Hoytt Dobes or even our own, the Quick Brace has corrected ear stance as old as three years of age.

 

 

  

The pup from the left to the youngster on the right introduces Cobra.  This boy is not due to finish our Custom Young Adult Program until April 2021. Those new to the world of Hoytt allow this introduction of Cobra reserved before birth to substantiate the authenticity of these stage photos. Daddy is a Pilot and currently resides in Florida. In waiting too is a three year old Hoytt redhead named Shelby. As with all identified photos in our website none are figments of our imagination. New photo development and most recently Thumb Drives keep the future owner in waiting up to date as their new kid develops.

 

        Note we will keep teaching ear stance using Quick Brace while with us without added cost to the owner.

9...one week after crop stitches are removed. During this time pups are only allowed to play with one litter mate - supervised play during this week of healing.   Our vet applies the Quick Brace right after surgery, before the youngster goes to recovery.  With the Quick Brace applied immediately after crop, the healing is accelerated. For those just learning about the Quick Brace know that Mr. Hoytt developed it to eliminate the discomforts of outrageously wrappings of the ears during post surgery care.

Note: For those who found their new love from another seller and will get the pup cropped after purchase you can order the Quick Brace and ask your vet to apply it. Remember we have a very well produced video on Appling the Quick Brace too.  

10...eight to twelve weeks of age training starts - most of our clients will want us to add one or more levels. 

11...sixteen weeks of age Panacur wormer over three days

12...Rabies vaccination after sixteen weeks of age with an option of FIRST Lyme diesase treatment at the same time with an additional cost. The 2nd treatment can be given within 2-4 weeks, and can be done here if pup is still with use for training. Also at an additional charge including any extra vet fees related to these shots will be added to the Dobes final cost.

Nail trimming using Dremel weekly for injury prevention - gets the youngster a bit more comfortable if owner follows up. Video short of your Dobe have nails done - available by request. 

13...automatic worming every four to six weeks after 16 weeks of age while with us. Young dogs examine things on the ground more and are also receptive to parasites and a few very dangerous viruses when out with their people early in the inoculation period, where other dogs have marked the area or just left a 'pile'. Note we start teaching both not to jump up on us nor allow them to poke around the ground when in their class.  

Fecal examinations when necessary since taking the dog off our property during training while with us might pick up parasites. Everything we do is to prevent possible problems rather than waiting until it's obvious. 

So while a few of you bring your new Hoytt home right after our medical services, we will have made sure whatever should also be added during its education here will be taken care of.
